Sock Yarns with Nylon

These yarns all contain Nylon to add strength, which makes them ideal for sock knitting! We supply yarns with Nylon in 4ply, DK and Sport weight.

In addition we offer sock yarn in a range of put ups for different dyeing techniques. We have Merino Nylon on a kilo cone, 150g and 50g skeins, 20g mini and 10g micro skeins, ideal for sock heels and toes, as well as sock blanks for dyeing gradient yarns and skeins with a 6m circumference to allow you to easily dye the perfect self striping yarn.

Always use a smaller needle for knitting socks to make a durable fabric. We would suggest the following needle sizes to make hardwearing socks:

4ply/fingering weight: 2.0mm - 2.5mm needle

Sport weight: 2.5mm - 2.75mm needle

DK weight: 3.0mm - 3.25mm
